Heritage

Why a Hatteras Is Special

The Hatteras story began in 1959 in North Carolina, when a frustrated sportsman commissioned a boat tough enough to fish the rough inlet waters off Cape Hatteras. The result was one of the first large production fiberglass boats — and it changed boating forever.

By 1975, Hatteras had earned a reputation for solid, overbuilt hulls and joinery that rivaled fine furniture. These yachts were engineered to take weather in stride, which is exactly what makes them so serene in calm water. A heavy, well-built hull doesn’t bob and dart — it settles, glides, and stays composed.

That’s the secret to Aquamarine’s easy, relaxing ride. She carries her age the way the best classics do: with warm teak interiors, timeless proportions, and the kind of unhurried confidence that newer boats spend fortunes trying to imitate.

Your Captain

Captain Randy Stephens

Captain Randy has spent a lifetime learning the waterways up and down the East Coast. From 117-foot yachts to nimble sport-fishing boats, he’s piloted nearly every kind of vessel imaginable — and he knows the Space Coast’s channels, tides, and quiet anchorages like few others do.

Today he runs Aquamarine with the same care he’s given every boat in his charge: meticulous, calm, and quietly expert. Fully licensed and insured for passenger cruises, he makes safety effortless so you can focus entirely on the experience.
